Speaker's Biography
Dr Hoo Mei Lin obtained her MBBS at the University of New South Wales, Australia and returned to Malaysia to serve her country. She worked with the Malaysian Ministry of Health for 10 years, serving numerous hospitals in Kedah, Perak, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. She obtained her membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2006 and was subsequently elevated to a fellow of the college in 2018. She completed her fertility training in 2017 and went on to obtain her Master in Reproductive Health from the University of New South Wales in 2018 to pursue her passion in treating couples with fertility issues. Dr Hoo has been on the council of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia since 2012. She was appointed the OGSM Trainee Committee Chair in 2018 and in this capacity, she led her team to develop a relevant and comprehensive program to assist budding obstetricians and gynaecologists prepare for their professional examinations. Dr Hoo served as the President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia in 2021/2022.
